Caller ID name was fake, but oddly specific (same last name mine was changed to when I was 9, but haven't had in 22 years). She asked for me by my current married name to see if I knew a person with my "maiden" name.. which is super bizarre given that I do know him, but haven't seen him in 10 years, we don't talk and aren't actually related. I told her how weird it was that the Caller ID name was "maiden" name and last name of the person she was looking for. She acted surprised. I now know that caller ID names can be spoofed to get people to answer the phone.
