Unauthorized Amazon Charge For iPhone XR (Scam call) reported by


Call spoofed as Amazon customer support number. Pre-recorded message of suspicious transaction on my Amazon account of purchase of iPhone XR for large dollar amount. Press 1 to speak to someone or hold for next available representative. Long pause then connected to foreign sounding female with background noise of call center. Told me of suspicious purchase and did I want to authorize or not. Said not...then proceeded to ask for name, address info, then wanted my cell phone number with Amazon app on it to be able to cancel order. Played along with phony information from start to finish.....and using burner phone.....got her all wound up that she had struck gold....asked why if she worked for Amazon, saw this suspicious charge and she had my phone number....didn't she have access to my Amazon account. She got flustered with my questioning...and transferred me to "supervisor"....he didn't last long and hjung up on me. Another day...another scammer......

I received a call from this number and it was a missed call. When I checked my messages, it stated that it was a call from amazon.com. And someone was attempting to make a $149 charge on my account. I called Amazon to make sure that this was not true and they said that this call did not come from Amazon.

Claimed to be Amazon Fraud protection and that someone had purchased something on mty account. This cakk is PURE fraud and a scam

I received the same call, saying that someone was trying to charge something on my Amazon account and I should Press one to talk to someone or stay on the line. Amazon fraud department would help me. Luckily, it was a voicemail and I called Amazon and there was no such thing happening.
