Same message as above, guy said he was calling from Palm Beach, FL despite the caller ID showing Oyster Bay, NY. I asked him why google says this is a scam and that they would never call for this info. He said thats right, google won't call but they are not google. I told him I wasn't interested and to take our number off his call list... he said that's not gonna happen.... I hung up. Next time they call I'm going to transfer the call to the Apple ID scammer number and they can go at it.

This is from an outfit called Online Visibility Experts. They aren't technically breaking a law, but nevertheless this is a scam. They target people with websites and talk them into an unnecessary service, which is some kind of index. The language of the incoming call and the automated telephony responder imply that you are already a customer and that something is "Broken" Nothing is broken. They are simply trying to convince you to put your website on their index, which is completely unnecessary.

Fake Website scan - said they can fix a website that does not even exist. Started at $500, went to $400, then $200 and then for a limited one hour period $100!! Such a bargain - need to pay now though - wanted me to use THEIR payment service - not paypal. Scam Scam Scam Scam!

Pretended to be from Google confirming business details (Scam call) reported by


The call started with a computer generated voice saying that the call was from Google and that they had been trying to make contact for a long time. Then it directed me to press 1 if I was the business owner. Then I was passed to a human operator, who was a native speaker with American accent. They said that they needed to reach out and confirm some business details, including physical address etc. I foolishly gave them my home address and business details before being passed to a 'technician' who would be running some analysis on my website.. or some baloney like that. The next operator went through their spiel and then said that the fee would be $400 one time payment. When I hesitated he immediately offered a $100 discount and said it would only be $300. I politely declined and the operator then gave me a name Matthew and this number +1 866-204-4885
