trying to trick you into applying for a credit card, but probably stealing your personal information. they say they're calling from Visa and Mastercard. I work in finance and know how these things work. Visa and Mastercard are 2 completely separate companies and they will never call you directly because they don't deal directly with consumers. Banks offer Visa and Mastercard services to consumers, not Visa and Mastercard directly. Only a bank can offer you these services. knowing this information and the fact that 2different companies (Visa and Mastercard) would not call you together in 1 phone call (ridiculous), it's obvious this is a scam.
