i gave him my credit card number and other information , the next day i called dish, the said i was scammed. 3ed day got a package from att 4 apple phones. and a bill for over 5000.00 dollars. they wanted me to send them to their house and pay for shipping . i sent them back to factory. now getting threats that i owe for phones. please be careful

Con Edison Senior Discount Scam Call (Scam call) reported by


Some Indian-sounding guy called and he said that he is from "Con Edison Senior Discounts Department" and that he needed to verify my information. He gave me a "discount number" to write down and asked me to take my bill and "confirm" the information. I told him that "in my bill it says that Con Edison will never call me on the phone and ask for my information" he said that he knows it but that he is from "discounts department". I then began to question him that this could be a scam, and he began to defend that his work is legit, then at some point he just hanged-up the phone.

Voicemail left. stating my SSN has been "suspended due to fraudulent activity" or suspected fraud and to call them ASAP since they had investigating officers waiting to hear from me.

Got a call at around 10 PM. It rang once, and I didn't get the chance to pick up before whoever it was hung up. I stil recieved a 0.2 second voicemail that was nothing but silence.

Called me at 4:30 am on a Sunday. Phone rang only once. Left me a voicemail saying he was calling about my application to type from home on Facebook & google and directed me to a website to finish. Total scam. Blocked the caller.
