Scam - Bogus Account Hack (Scam call) reported by


Received a recorded call advising that my email account was hacked and to call this number ASAP. Called the number and told the guy I was asked to call, he says, “yes, your email account was hacked, I need you to go to your home computer and login”. I told him I wasn’t at home right now and I’ll call my email account company. He then asked me for my name and when I will be home so I can login. This tells me, he doesn’t even know who he’s talking to, doesn’t know my email provider, but wants me to go home and login to my computer and give him my information. These are the same people calling me telling me that someone is trying to hack into my home network......now they’re trying to convince me someone’s hacked my email. P.S. My email account is fine.
