They claim to be Microsoft and want to pay you money, and ask you to disclose bank information, accounts and routing. They call 5-6 times a day, possibly brand them as Support buddy and no matter what you tell them, they still call back.

My computer screen received a message saying it had a virus and not to shut down or turn off but to call this 800#. I panicked, called and was told that they could fix my issue over the phone for $140.00. I paid up and they took control of my computer and fixed the problem. They then told me that for $49.95 per month or 1 time charge of $400 per year they would provide virus protection and regular tune ups. I declined and a few days later the same thing happened to one of my friends. I told her to turn her computer off, wait a few minutes then turn on to see if that fixed The problem. It did so I called Support Buddy and told them they were scammers and that I wanted my money back. They gave me the run around so I called my bank and disputed the charge. My bank credited my account with the money and Support Buddy had the nerve to call me and ask for it back. I told them to never call me again and that I was reporting them. I started getting calls from (855) 955-6619 which is Support Buddy so I have blocked all calls from this number on my phone. I’ve check my blocked call list and they have been calling like crazy. They just don’t quit. But they won’t get me again. That’s for sure.

Yes, these are scammers. The company is called Support Buddy and they will go as far as to tell you they are an authorized Micro-Soft approved company. Please don’t fall for the scam. I did, but was able to get all my money back by filing a charge dispute with my bank.

Big scam which I fell for several years ago. They called me again from this number today. I GAVE THEM OVER 200.00 FOR THEIR "SERVICE" in the past, and I warn you, they can be EXTREMELY persuasive, kind, professional, and knowledgeable, depending on who you speak to. BEWARE! Their website looked legit.

They have called on my landline before with a different number. Called your local phone provider or your cell phone provider's Tech Support and they can block this number like they blocked another similar Support Buddy number. This is a phony scare tactics based out of India. Do not under any circumstances fall for their phony, lying warnings. If one of these scare warnings pops up on your screen, immediately shut the computer down with your power button Just wait awhile before powering up. That's why it always important to save your work while doing it. Not till its done.

I have been contacted on and off for a year from people claiming to be a company called Support Buddy. I was naive and agreed to pay them $200 last year(2016) for "antivirus" protection and their help if they noticed any issues on my computer. They called me again in Feb. 2017 saying I had a hacker on my computer and used their"special Interpol data base" to track the person. I believed them but had a funny feeling about it. After spending another $200 to get the "scary hacker" out of my computer, I then did more research and found out the hacking program they used was from a joke hacking site, so I called them back the following day to request a refund on the "fake product". They gave me the run around, sent me to their "billing dept" and claimed they would refund my card within 2 weeks, but I knew I would probably be out that money. It is now April 2017 and they just tried to call me yet again and hung up when I answered. I called back, and the first thing the guy asked? "Was I in front of my computer?" I told him no and I wouldn't be and that I requested money back over a month ago with no results. I told him to admit to the scam and he proceeded to hang up on me. I called back and he answered not knowing it was me, I continued with my complaint of wanting my money back and he kept telling me to "listen, listen" I told him "no, it's time to listen to me!" He hung up on me again. I called back over and over in hopes of wasting hours of their time or blocking up the line the way they have with me! I know I'll never see my money again, but it won't stop me from calling them back a few times EVERY day.
