I got an email addressed to me by name (rare with most scammers) ostensibly from Amazon but the return email was a gmail account ([email protected]). It had this number to call for information. They answered as Amazon!

INCOMING PHONE CALL ON 12/04/19: Re: Reported that my Apple ID had been compromised, and that there had been hacking activity on my account. Left number to call: 855-939-0705. (Robocall) I knew it was scam of some sort, so I checked out the number on this site to get more info.

Computerized female voice said ‘hello this is Molly from Apple (not from Apple!) do not use your Apple devices... warning of problem... need to speak with us, press 1.. or call this number...be afraid.... sky is falling...danger Will Robinson... bla bla bla’ Called at 8 AM! ****. I feel bad for the folks they scare and fall for it.

Automated call and said that there was suspicious activity on all my Apple Devices and to not use them because they could be hacked. I needed to press 1 to talk to someone or contact an Apple representative at the number 1-855-939-0705
