They started by saying I have an outstanding balance due from Sears from 2011...it was in collections and now is a class action against me in Orange County as time went on he wanted payment to stop this - asked for cc and after stupidly giving it to them - I realized I was scammed ... so I started asking even more questions- it just got weirder. After they said it was approved they put me on hold and now started asking for my bank account number . I immediately called credit card company and canceled card. ???? ????‍♂️

I can usually tell when it is a fake debt collector by the message they left. The start with this is a legal matter and papers have been filed with you SS#. They want me to call back to get a statement from me, usually they want to make a financial arrangement to stop the legal proceeding... which don't exist.
