I had an AMEX account, and this was a collection call to get a payment on the debt. I called AMEX and confirmed the number. It is a collection number working for AMEX. If they call you and you don't have an AMEX account or never had one. Then it might be from someone who had your number before you. Near as I can tell the number is legit.

Not the actual credit card company but a scammer using "American Express" Global something (I could not understand the heavy Indian accent). I called AMEX and was told this phone number and company has NOTHING to do with American Express Credit Card.

This number called asking for a family member, I played along and said I was that person, they asked for the last 4 of their SSN, so I asked who they were and they said American Express. I asked what the call was about but they refused to tell me if I didn't give them the SSN. I told them I don't have an account with them (neither does the family member) and they hung up very quickly. Obvious fake debt collection.

Outstanding customer service experience: I received very relevant and timely communication from a well-mannered, articulate and helpful businessman. I didn't ask if the gentleman owned the business (Watch Prince) but, I deduced that he might have been the owner for the following reasons: He returned my call within minutes of my leaving a detailed message. He properly and completely addressed himself and the reason for his calling me. When he spoke, he enunciated his words clearly. He listened to my input and actually assimilated what I said before he responded. He proactively proposed a quick and sensible plan to determine or rule out certain factors beyond our control, but for which he would make acceptable if that were to be the case. He returned my call (a second time) in less than ten minutes and then offered a sensible next step to resolve this small matter. I was compelled to post on behalf of the owner of this number because the comments I saw did not, in any way, reflect my experience.

This person must work for the scammers. It is like the reverse "Nigerian Prince scam". Where those lovesick scammers can not spell nor properly speak English, this writer sounds like a computer... Who uses "assimilated" or "enunciated" or "input" or "proactively" in an everyday conversation or review of a phone call ??!! FAKE, just as fake as the scammers who make these calls.
