Ryan Johnson from Microsoft in Arizona (heavy, thick Indian accent). Told me I must go onto to my computer immediately and he will fix all the problems they have been receiving from it. Area code 260 is not in Arizona, but Indiana. Gave me an 855 number to call back. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION--IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!

Same details as the others. Claimed I had someone using my computer remotely. My computer is off and not tied to any wifi at this time. States he is in Delaware. Got insistent when I started questioning. Told him that I was skeptical of his intentions. Told them I couldn't find my computer and that I would need to call them back. Gave me the 855-601-0002 #

he's pressuring me to open up my computer cause its shows lots of errors n he can help clean it up ... Indian accent guy said he's name John Rogers fr. Florida ??? if I don't open it up he is going to shut down my computer I told him I'm going to call Macair/mac apple if he is connected w/ them if he is legit but he keeps on and on if I don't open it up he's shutting it down cause he has my comp. ID No. told him are u threatening me? told him give me ur phone no. n address i'll call him back no answer w/ 855601002 .. . it's a Scam !!!

Our experience was exactly like theirs. The employee's name and code were the same. The number to call back was the same as others' 855-601-0002. We were told to ask for the Austin Texas team. Supposedly our computer was being hacked by someone in Alabama who was doing illegal transfers. The call came as an 800 call from the number 855-354-1010.

Call to US

I had the exact same experience as "Calling to Canada" - name, employee code, and said he was from Austin, TX. Said he was from Windows IT and they had noticed hacking incidences from my computer and wanted access to my computer. Told him I didn't have time and I would call back (I have not called back). When the call came in it did not display a number - just caller unknown.

Yup same type of call - He is a scammer because my windows is non existent. He used the name Blade P. and employee code ... Said he was from Austin Texas, but in a really noisy room, and had a thick east Indian accent.

Individual claimed to be Peter Thomas and wanted to assist us with problems on Microsoft Windows. Individual had strong Indian accent and background noise from call center could be heard. I am certain this is a scam. Do NOT trust calls from this number and do not give ANY INFO over the phone.

Appears to be a mal-ware distributor in India. The caller was a 'technician' who told me my PC had a licensing issue that is creating a problem and needed to be fixed. Very thick hindi language accent who stated his name was Jack Williams. The had me open a CLI and were trying to guide me to what I presume is a site that would install mal-ware on my PC. I wanted to keep them on the line as long as possible in order to discern their MO. I decided not to include their site here so as to not have someone inadvertently navigate to that location. When I asked them where they were located, the caller told me it was California.

It's the old "This is the Windows Service Department. Your Windows is going to crash" scam. Indian accent (he couldn't understand how I knew he was calling from India...DUH!). When I asked for his name and phone number he gave his name as "Gary" and gave me this phone number. When I asked he confirmed multiple times that the company was a authorized Microsoft vendor. When I asked if I gave that number to Microsoft and the Oregon Attorney General they would confirm the company was an authorized Microsoft vendor...and when I pretended to ask in an aside "Officer, were you able to trace that number? Your trace is working, right?" there was abrupt dead sound and then a dial tone. IT'S A SCAM! Do NOT agree to anything. Do NOT call that number back. Block the number if you can. Mark it "DO NOT ANSWER" or "NOT SAFE."

Indian speaking bad English, said my computer hacked and viruses running and he called to help me clean my computer. Felt it was a scam, ask for his number so I could call back later.

Got call from these people Indian speaking people telling me I had bad files on my computer and they where calling from windows service center which doesn't exist. Wanting me to go to fake website so they could remote into my computer. Ha I'm not that stupid. Kept them on phone for 8 min before they hung up after asking them questions. Guess they figured out I knew what I was talking about and not falling for their scam

same thing happened to me. they called saying that they are receiving messages from my windows computer but, i'm using a Mac.

They keep calling me and using different aliases like Kevin Parker..they gave me a this toll free number 855-601-0002...he said his id number was MSD0092....idk why they keep calling me and trying to scam me tho...I told them that none of my info connects to me on but they kept cutting me off..I don't trust it at all to be honest
