phony lab corp collector. Lab Corp does not confirm company (Scam call) reported by


this call was from a Hindu lady with poor english. They first called me and told me that I owed money to Lab Corp, I told them to call me back in 30 min. Called Lab Corp, and Lab corp did not confirm this debt collecting agency. Lady called back after 30 minutes and I told her I paid my payment through Lab Corp, and she immediately said "FINE", and then hung up on me.

They were demanding payment but they wouldn't even provide their company name. They only started calling about a month ago and call multiple times a day.

Harassment. this numerous call everyday, usually several times a day at first. first they say they are calling to collect on a payday loan that you never paid back, and if you say that you have never gotten a payday loan, then they say it is about a bad check you wrote and they try to scare you into paying them money. If you try to call you never get a response. they also claim that they are looking for the whereabouts of you and that it's illegal if you don't call them back. they try to scare you, and also say they are going to call your references, and they will try and call. they called my parents, who I am not close to and I have never ever use my parents as a reference. the few people that I have used as a reference they have never called. Don't let them imitate you. If you do answer one of the calls, tell them you have called the police to report them.

They called me and wanted me to pay a debt. They had several errors in their information. They used a date that I knew there was no possible way I went to the doctor. They used a doctor that i have NEVER heard of. (upon googling, he is in a location that I would never go to see a doctor.) They used my old address which i have not used for several years. And were only concerned with me providing payment. I asked for the doctors number on the bill, they did not have it. I asked for a reference number and cross checked it, nothing. Complete scam.

Outstanding Medical Bill (Debt collector) reported by


Woman with Indian/Asian accent said I had an outstanding debt from LabCorp dating back to August 2015 (it is now May 2017). I asked her why this number has called me twice daily for over a month without leaving a voicemail, she said they aren't allowed to leave messages regarding debt collection because "anyone may hear it". (It's true they can't say details, but they can still identify themselves). She asked for payment information, which I refused, and stated that I wanted to receive a bill by mail. She claimed that it wasn't possible, that LabCorp had the billing information and that only they had the ability to send a bill by mail. I asked her how they can have the authority to accept payment on LabCorp's behalf but not to send a bill in the mail, she said "We are just a collection agency, we don't do that". (I've never had someone call regarding an outstanding debt that has not communicated by mail, much less refuse to do so.) She also spent an inordinate amount of time trying to convince me that I could safely provide payment via phone. I insisted for a bill by mail, and she then claimed that they HAD sent bills by mail, and quoted an address I haven't lived at in 10 months. (I also had my mail forwarded that whole time, so I would have received such a communication anyway, but I didn't tell her that.) She asked for my new mailing address, so I obliged and gave her my PO Box. (I guess we'll see if they send anything). She then told me that my debt would be reported to the credit bureaus, but I can avoid that if I pay now. I responded that if this debt is 2 years old, I don't think 2 more weeks will affect my score. She tried to explain that it can't be reported without my acknowledgment of it (again, false). She eventually transferred me to her supervisor, who had the same accent as her. He basically tried to give me the same spiel, but the conversation was much more brief because I wouldn't change my tune for him either. Total, I was on the phone 12 minutes.
