Person who called himself Mr. Blake, was very rude. Told me I was an unfit mother and I was teaching my children fraud because he said I owed a bill in the amount of $1600.00. Which is untrue, but he wanted payment now or he was going to take me to court.Called me stupid and worthless and a coward. I have ever had someone speak to me in this manner.

Claimed was being served papers by a private number (Scam call) reported by


Called and said I was being served papers for a debt but I could call the people that was handling the case was given this number but wasn't given the name of the company or what th papers was for just that it was an alleged debt I had

They called me said they was a sheriff trying to serve papers on my husband and it was a federal case.call this number.some guy that was suppose to be a federal attorney got on the phone.he said fingerhut was suing me.i was under investigation.he tried to get 2900 dollars off me.he knew all are info.i told him i was calling my attorney.he said i had five min.my attorney called the number.found out its a scam.

Alleged debt collection - possible scam (Financial services) reported by


Blanchard Law in Los Angeles, California - The person (Thomas L Smith, "legal liaison") had personal information about a family member that they claimed they were trying to serve with legal papers regarding a debt (which there is a legitimate debt). They emailed an official looking letter, with nice letterhead and a generic office address. On the phone they threatened liens on property, and were very convincing. However, they do not seem to be following proper debt collection procedure, and are trying to twist his arm by claiming immediate urgency, in order to get payment. I believe this to be a scam. The number on the "official" letter is 310-349-3066. They are requesting that payments be maid to a PO box. I am advising this family member not to pay.

Call came through as "Unknown" but the voicemail left a callback number of 855-561-6287. I believe it was a process server making the original call, attempting to notify someone of pending delivery of legal documents. Personally, I wouldn't recommend answering.
