Same call as above. It's a fake attorneys office attempting to collect a debt but the court case is fake and so is the attorneys office. Spoofs the courthouse number. Had to get a new debit card. Sheriff's office said it was a scam too. Luckily I caught on before they could take anything out of my account.

payday loan collection scam (Scam call) reported by


First received a call at work saying they were with county clerks office wanting to make sure my info was right so they could serve papers for fraud, number was spoofed. Caller gave me a case number and suggested to call and try and get case dismissed and set up payments. I called and they set up payments. I never got a letter in the mail from them as they said they would do. Called back and they said they sent it and they didn't control the mail, but would send again and a E-mail. never got either. I called County Clerks office and they searched and didn't find any case with my name same with the district court. received a voice mail from collectors saying payment didn't go through they said their case number and it was the same as the so called court case number
