They said I contacted them & they were returning my call about a computer virus (I never contacted them) They said they help with Computer problems & only PC’s. I asked a few times, what company is this & he never would tell me. The caller has a strong Indian accent. He then hung up on me.

Scammers with Indian accent hacking into your computer (Scam call) reported by


Beware of any calls to or from this number. They will connect to your computer, show you some bogus error messages (which are on just about every Windows PC) and then try to charge you at least $250 dollars to fix it. They will try to get more from you if you are agreeable enough and tell you to go to a Western Union location to send them the money. If you don't want to send your money to Shekhar Thapa in India, they will tell you to sene it to Patricia Kelly in Pennsylvania. If you are not agreeable to send them the money they are asking for, they will ask to connect to your computer again. This time they will show you some other errors, but what they are really doing is putting a password on your PC. The next time you log out of Windows and log in again, you will be prompted for the secret password they put on your PC. Ironically, they will call you back, most likely within 24 hours, to see if everything is OK. Now they have you, and unless you are really good at guessing what password they put in your system file, you will have to pay them (their form of ransom) to get back into your own PC. I heard from a senior at my church they charged him $300 to "fix" his computer on the first call, then $300 for the password to get back in. Good luck, don't get scammed by these crooks.
