We had a missed call concerning a new account being opened at Guitar Center. They gave us 855-486-5155 as the call back number. Since this is a business number and the account belongs to a coworker, I don't know if it's a legitimate call or a scam.

Synchrony Credit Card, Credit card services, (www.synchrony.com), Pleasant call with them. A little strange how they approach the call by asking me to verify my identity yet don't explain why. I asked and they wanted to confirm the account was opened by me and wanted to know if I had a questions. The rep was very nice

Phishing for info (Scam call) reported by


They left a voice mail that they were contacting me about my newly opened Synchrony account. I called Synchrony direct given I have 3 cards with them. I haven't opened an account in years. They said they could be trying to get bank routing info, social security number etc. Definitely not a legitimate number from the area code alone. Synchrony doesn't call from that area code. Scam. They also had left the same message 2 hours later with the same recording for my husband.
