This definitely sounds like the exact same message I got around the same time last year. It appears to be Community Health Plan. They DO do phone surveys and annoying phone calls like this. I don't think this is a scam, just super annoying. So many people have reported it that even on Verizon it comes up as "Potential SPAM." LOL They should just do their surveys online or via regular mail, like everyone else.

If you gave these people a shred of information, congratulations, you just got phished. Scammers of this sort already have some information about you that they bought off of mass identity thieves. The ones you you hear on the news about massive data breaches. How do you think you were called by your supposed insurance company? Then they do calls like this to build out fuller profiles of you to really get you good. What’s your child’s birthday? Favorite color? First pet? Guess what? You just have them the answers to half your banks’ online ‘security questions. Most people on Medicaid aren’t going to have a high credit line but they sure do get their SSI checks on the first of the month. Only none of it’s going to be left by the second. Do not EVER give information to anyone who you didn’t call yourself. NEVER give information to anyone who called YOU. That’s not the way information security works. You called me. You tell me my details, then maybe I’ll believe who you are. And it starts with the robocall saying that you’re going to be connected with someone from the “medical team.” Bzzt. That means a very specific thing in a health care context. It means someone directly involved with your health care. Not someone on a phone who can’t answer the questions, “What kind medical team? What’s your function and qualifications? How does this phone call comply with health information privacy laws (HIPAA)?” Jeez-loise, this is NOT a legit call, people!

Called CPHW to verify this is a number they use. It is. It is mostly for survey purposes. Then I called the actual number back. They did not ask me for my SS#. Not a scam just an annoyance. If this number is consistently calling you "30 times in a month" then I suggest putting yourself on the No-Call list or blocking it

They have called me almost 30 times over the past 3 months and have left numerous messages. I finally answered and they immediately asked for my birthday and social security number and I said I don’t feel comfortable so they hung up but then the next day, the calls and voicemails continued. Called CHPW just to be sure and they told me it is a scam and do not give out any personal information

Very Heavy accents, very hard to understand. Claimed to be from medicate wanting me to answer questions to sing my son up. Refused to verify their credentials when I asked them to do so. I told them to send the questionnaire in the mail.

Listen up everybody, Your community health plan place will NEVER call you, or ask, for personal info through the phone. The call you received is a SCAM from CRIMINALS to steal your personal info. It's common sense to know that in this day and age of identity theft / phone scams. (as we can see in the comments below, people ignorantly think it's the real Community Health Plan of Wa. Guess what? IT'S NOT. It's quite obvious that they're not, because some of these comments are saying that the same number is talking to them about business stuff. Why would a supposed healthcare orgnization phone # be calling people to talk about unknown business stuff / selling you stuff / asking for the wrong person?). I kept receving calls / voicemails from that same number, so I finally BLOCKED them today on my phone and deleted their voicemails as soon as possible. You ALL need to do this, too. If you think that number is the real health plan insurance place, then please give them ALL your information & wait about 6-12 months and you'll have all your money / identity stolen. Jesus christ people, wake up & stop believing every number that calls you. Even the community healthplan of WA has posted on their website that a fake phone # is scamming all of us by pretending to be them. To all of you saying this is the real healthcare place, you should be charged with aiding in fraud / theft / ID theft by purposely spreading misinformation because YOU help add to this growing problem.
