Same as above. They said they were Bank of America calling and I called my Bank of America and it was not them. This is a scam

I looked up the number and read these posts here. Coincidentally, I had received a prior email from BofA regarding my automatic payment transfers (set up a long time ago), to be updated. I haven’t called to do so yet. The number provided matches this also. I agree, they’re not too smart. Probably legit because they’ve always been this way to me. Frustrating to have to deal with ones own money, trust and incompetence all in the same. Err on the side of caution.

A lady called my number about the scheduled transactions in BoA. Since my wife had a problem with cancelled transaction recently I initiated three-way call. The lady asked to verify the phone number she called. My wife told her number (not mine), the lady said OK and proceeded to "verify" information. Wanted to know the account numbers. I said I don't feel comfortable with giving her the info over the phone without her establishing her legitimacy first. She suggested to call BoA to verify that they cancelled transactions (we know they did) and then call her back.... Right.

Boa is changing its scheduled transfer system. They asked to verify current information without asking me for additional info. Went to boa branch and confirmed that there were letters sent to clients in regards to this confirmation of information that clients wish to continue automatic balance transfers which will not be available to be done in financial institutions anymore. I went to a branch and confirmed that this is happening but there is supposed to be a confirmation code in the letters sent to the house from Bank of America. Upon calling back the number that contacted me they did answer from Bank of America. The person on the phone also gave me three references to look up if this was legit. I realized this possibly may not be legit after I had made the confirmation. I would suggest asking them to send another letter and then you will recontact them.

Claimed to be with bank of america, needing to verify some of my account info because I moved and cancelled and automatic transfer (all true), but I had already done so with the bank. I hung up, called my bank, and all my info was already correct. Some sort of scam.

I had a missed call from this number on my mobile but no message left. Also similar number called me recently, probably the same marketing company? don't wanna call back since I do not know the number - it could be just a robocaller testing if my number is responding, don't want to let them know my line is active... People please did someone answer it? Who is behind this number?
