They claimed they were from a company called BCA financial and asked me to verify my birthday for more information on a private matter. I asked for a bit of information on the company before sharing information obviously, and was told I can’t know b/c it’s a private matter. Then I asked what BCA stands for and was once again told no you have to verify your birthday first. Clearly, this is a scam

They asked for my husband using his middle name which he never uses. I said it was his wife what can I help you with. They said it's a private matter and they needed to speak to him, is he available? I said you have the wrong number and they hung up. We don't owe anything so must've been a scam.

Called and before they would tell me who they were they wanted to verify my information by wanting my dob and last 4. NOPE!!I do not give that info to anyone that calls me out of the blue. I believe they were trying to steal my info. Didn't fall for it.

"BCA Financial Services" (Financial services) reported by


They called twice. Both times, demanded my DOB and address. I didn't give them either. They claimed to be from BCA Financial Services, but they DID NOT say the mini-miranda "this is an attempt to collect a debt" line - which is illegal, since they're a 3rd party collection agency. I asked them not to call me, so I called BCA myself after getting the number from their website. They confirmed my name and number, and then confirmed that I had apparently agreed to a no-contact rule when asking them not to call me. They now say I have to send a written notice to discuss ANY of the "debt" I owe. Again, no mini-miranda was given. I have received no letters. Sounds like a scam, but I really have no clue.

They asked for me by name, when I said "yes", the call was disconnected. Wondering if they just wanted to get a recording of the "yes" or something b/c that makes no sense...

They just called, asking to verify my info as they won't discuss anything without verifying my identity to protect themselves. I told the person that I need to protect my self as well and I won't provide nor confirm any info over the phone. I also told him to send me a request in writing to the address they should have in their files, then I hunged up.

This company called me and asked for personal information before they can disclose why they are calling. I asked them to send a letter and they said they did which I don't believe I have received. When I asked about resending the letter, they denied. Appears to be a scam

Like the others that received this call stated that was from BCS on a recorded line...when I asked what was this about I was told about " private/personal matter" asked my name again and then proceed to ask for my DOB. If you are calling me and you know my name you should know my DOB. I did not provide it caller hung up...

They didn't mention anything but my name and then when I asked where are they calling from they said "BCS". So i asked what is this call about they said "its private and personal matter, give us your DOB and address". I was like how do I know you are not a scam? They said "well ok have a good day"
