Claimed to be from QuickBooks (Scam call) reported by Donna
I had a phone call this morning while I was away from the office from a man claiming to be from Quickbooks and saying that he needed access to all my office computers that have Quickbooks installed so that he could update to 2023 software. All of my software is already current. He was adamant about wanting to schedule a time to call back when he could get access to my computers. I ended up calling Quickbooks directly using a number I have used multiple times in the past. They confirmed that this call was a scam and that this number is NOT a valid Quickbooks number. I hate to think what all havoc he could have caused if I had let him have access to my computers. As others have also said... DO NOT LET THEM HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTERS!

Mac said he was with QB, and that our account needed be updated (Scam call) reported by Julia
A guy by the name of Mac called from this number stating that our support for QB needed to be updated. He asked for the owner, but he wasn't in, I asked if I could help him and he said SURE..told me that if I allowed him remote he could get back the support for QB. I asked him if that wasn't something that I myself could do through QB, he said no..I have to do it. I said wellll without the owners permission, I can't help you at this moment. I knew something was fishy, bad connection, so I looked up the number and low and behold, it is a SCAM!! Imagine that.

I received a call that was very poorly connected. Spoke with a Matt saying it was in regards to Quickbooks. He gave me this number with an extension. He asked to speak to the owner. I took a message, but didn't feel comfortable with the call. Tried calling the number back twice and wouldn't even connect.

The caller claimed to be with Quickbooks warning that our support with Quickbooks was expiring and we needed to pay $299.95 to get it reactivated. Thry are not affiliated with Quickbooks in any way. Do not give them any information or give remote access to your computer,
