SCAM - Barnes & Noble credit card (Scam call) reported by


Received a call from 855-211-4583 claiming my wife had an overdue balance on her Barnes & Noble account. Woman spoke perfect English with absolutely no accent even using words like "Sweetie" and "we'll get that taken care of for you". I called my wife and had her call the number but warned her not to give any legit info. She called them back, spoke with "Rita Rallo" with perfect english. They explained the debt they claimed she owed and asked for her social security info to confirm so my wife gave them a bogus number and they said "YUP.. that's correct".. so now my wife knows it's a scam and they continued to ask for her bank routing number which is when my wife hung up. BEWARE -- PRO SCAMMERS AT WORK!!

I have no debt so I know it is a bogus call. Plus other places I have searched say to BLOCK this caller. They are just trying to get your personal information!!!

Debt collector. Call received every month. Caller varies, male or female. Caller never specifically provides his or her individual name. Caller never specifically states the name of the person they are calling for. Caller requests a call back. I will not call them back. My credit is excellent & I have no debt.
