This is a scammer. They view the page source of websites to find publisher IDs and other information that is public, and they use that in connection with other information about your business, to make a seemingly legitimate phone call about your business. They are trying to sell you something. They have a unique ID for each business they're trying to scam, and that unique ID is going to be the extension they give you in case you ask them if you could call them back. To the endorsers above in previous comments NoName, Jackie R., Jeff Paris, Laura, you are lying and intentionally trying to add positive reviews to this phone number so that more people that look this up find good remarks, in hopes that they call this scam number back. Google does not employ this 3rd party, and has no idea who they are. 1. I have received a call from a spoofed number "777231781" 2. I spoke with "Seth" who could not answer basic questions about our account 3. He told us to call back 855-204-7240 Ext 0771781 Please note, the extension is fake, and only serves as an identifier of who you are. It's only for opening a log on the caller's side, to build their script. VoIP servers have the functionality to assign scripts to extensions, and this is exactly what is happening. This is a scam. This is 100% illegitimate. Anyone who says otherwise is a scammer themselves trying to support this number. This is one of the most well crafted scams, unfortunately that employs US residents through 3rd party freelance websites like Upwork, Freelancer, and even Craigslist, and so on (very unfortunate). I have confirmed all of the above with Google, and they are aware of this issue. DO NOT GIVE THE PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS NUMBER ANY INFORMATION BEYOND WHAT THEY ALREADY KNOW, AND RECORD THE CONVERSATIONS YOU RECEIVE AND GIVE IT TO GOOGLE SO THEY CAN PROSECUTE THESE SCAMMERS. Horrible accent...could barely understand his message. Called to make changes to my business account...only problem is..i do not have an adwords account for the business he called about. The number called from and the number to call back were from two completely different area codes. The call back number had a long extension which is not a correct google company extension. Obvious scam

They called me asking for my father who died about a year and a half ago. I informed the heavily accented agent my dad was dead and they told me I would be arrested if I didn’t make immediate payment. They said my father owed some massive debt which is news to me seeing as how an attorney and I settled all those when he died. It’s very clearly a scam. If they say they’re google needing to verify your account it’s a scam. Every positive review lacks proper English grammar. These are scammers trying to trick you. Don’t fall for it. If they call me again I’ll get the western union contact info and report them to the local fraud authority.

It is Google, I work for a marketing company. The number is Google Ads, previously known ad Google Adwords. Not sure why **** are saying it isn't, my actual account rep called from this number.
