I received a call during work hours from a local number (727)325-8553. I could not answer because I was with a customer. When I listened to the vm they left, a woman with a very heavy accent mumbled the first name, so I couldn't make out if it was mine or my son's, with my ex husbands last name. Been divorced for 15 years. Stated that my name is attached to stolen property and that I needed to call back at this number. Because I could not understand the first name given, and that she used a last name I have not had for 15 years, I did a search. Seems this is a new scam going around considering how many people are having the same calls.

"Mediation Firm" (Scam call) reported by


The number rang as a local number, but the call back number was 1-855-204-0803. Returned the call. The original caller (with an accent that sounded Indian) immediately transferred me to another person. That person, different accent, claimed it was a mediation company and there was a complaint about stolen property. Hilarious. Thanked them for the chance to participate in the scam and hung up.

Said they was calling because of stolen property from a Aaron's rent a center which is property I returned 2 years ago said the property wss never returned or picked up. I asked why are they just now contacting me after 2 years she dindnt have a valid answer I told her I would call the Aaron's and speak to manager about this matter. I don't feel i will be hearing from them again.

Cannot give any information w/o your DOB and SSN. Want DOB and SSN before they will accept your case/reference #. Will not provide a supervisor nor office manager , will not provide an actual physical location to personally attend to the "legal" paperwork. Cannot verify your physical address to which they claim to send the letters of intent. Need I go on ?

These are scam artist. Do not call them back for 2 reasons. The cost of calling them is on your phone provider's billing similar to a collect call and they will try to convince you they are wanting to settle a claim against you. What a joke. Best to ignore these scam bags completely
