Scam hospital bill (Debt collector) reported by Candace
Someone called from a hospital, which I did visit in April, but I paid my bill in cash upfront after pre-authorization. I met my deductible and was told that my bill was a zero balance. She tried to call me and tell me I owed $288. And that it was a recorded line. I told her that was fine because I owed zero dollars—that I have it paid off and I have a receipt. She just kept repeating that I owed $288 according to my insurance. And I kept repeating that I had paid my bill in full and had a receipt. I finally hung up on her after she kept arguing with me .

Supposedly the Business Office of Los Robles Hosptial (Debt collector) reported by iMax
Had a voicemail left that it was the business office of Los Robles Hospital, which is near me but we don't owe any money that we are aware of. If they want it they should have a live voice on the other end and not a robo-call with no specifics.

Calling under guise of Centennial Medical Ctr, Nashville, TN (Nuisance call) reported by WonderWoman
First time they called - I did not answer. (I was at work surrounded by people.) Later I called number back - got an automated message - Patient Accounts. Asked if I wanted to make a payment - I said no. (I don't owe any money to Centennial Med Ctr.) Man came on line. Took my name, birthdate - name of hospital... When he asked my address and other info, I stopped him and said - you called me. I didn't call you. What do you want? He said he wanted to discuss my account but he couldn't find any records under my name and birthdate. I said well then - I am done. He hung up. I have now blocked the number.

I didn't recognize the number on caller ID when they called. So, I didn't answer. They left a 23 second message in my voice mail. They have called in the past. If I call back they try to talk me into increasing my payments on my medical bill.
