Basically, name part was blocked out as well as my supposed account number that was in question. Mr. Gates from CFG is who called and did leave the actual phone number to call back. Received calls like this before that are borderline harassment and they never have any information they can give you on original loan/etc.

The rep I spoke with over the phone stated I had two payday loans several years ago. For One they are illegal in the state of New Jersey and they could've even pronounce my name correctly. When I stated they are illegal the rep hung up on me. I called back again and stated I will contact my attorney and the rep said they had the wrong person..total scam beware

I've been receiving calls from a Mrs. Weaver at CFG debt collection. I have been ignoring them, I have been scammed before by people like this, well today I receive a call which ignore and a threatening voicemail from Mr.Gates. The voicemail was obviously a recording, due to when it said who they were looking for it didn't state a name. Like it had been edited out. Also it cut off in the middle of his statement before he gave a number to call back. Wanting to confirm my social security information. Total scam trying to bully you into giving sensitive information and tricking you into agreeing to them taking your money for so called "debt"

They wanted to verify my information. I would not confirm. I've been called by them before. They wanted to collect on a debt I did not incur. I told them there was no such account. The caller did not like my attitude and said "Good Luck with Middlesex County Court". I've never received any written correspondence regarding this bogus account. And yes, they answer the phone one way and the actual caller says letters of business that do not correspond with the company they claim to be.

They called me too and when I called to tell them they called the wrong number they would just hang up.
