They left a message on my voice mail saying they had a 'very important message for me from Met Ed.' I called the number back and was immediately disconnected. I called Met Ed. MetEd said they did not call me, my account was fine, and it was not one of their numbers. They referred me to their webpage about scammers.

Pressed selection 4 to indicate wrong number 3 times now and they still keep calling. Called the number back and get computer voice saying please try again and then IMMEDIATELY got robocall about my car warranty.

It was a weird recording of a woman's voice and she would pause for the computer to same my name. After the introduction she asked me to press 1 if I was the person they were calling for. I pressed it to see what was going to happen. I was put on hold. No one answered. I didn't hear a familiar company name. I think it is a scam.

Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 84459179xx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - sometimes as fake IRS call, be aware! No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

It is First Energy calling regarding you bill. They start calling after you are about 5 days late. My bill is always due between my two paydays, so they get upset because it is usually a little late.

I have Met Ed/First Energy and I always pay my bill the same day I get the email that it is due. I haven't even gotten this months yet. But this number has called me several times. So a past due billing issues with Met Ed/First Energy is absolutely NOT the reason for this call.

I get calls that say it is from MetEd about a bill. I do not have them and multiple times I have gone through to let them know it is not a number to contact the person that they are looking for only to get a call a few months later asking for the same person from MetEd
