A man with an Indian (heavy) accent asked for my son by name and said he had an important msg from American Express. He left 844-564-2178 and an additional number with seven digits(?). My son has not lived here in 30 years or so and I am relatively sure he does not use American Express. I am cancelling my landline soon to be rid of this sort of thing.

Man with an Indian accent was on the line and asked for me by name. I said “speaking” he said is that a yes. I said “correct” he then demanded that I say the word ‘Yes” when I refused he became abusive.

Claims to be collection agent for American Express, IRS scam threatening to issue arrest warrant for taxes due, and other well-known fraudulent con artist schemes. These people are criminals, probably overseas. Just hang up and add to blocked numbers list.
