Claimed they were from Medicare and wanted to know if I received my 2020 updated Medicare card wanted personal information like date of birth excetera I refuse to give this information over the phone and hung up on them

The women had my Madian name which is what gave it away and the connection was terrible. She wanted to update my information which I said you should have everything did not tell her she had my Madian name and then from there I said I would call blue cross directly I did not trust her at all and asked for her name she stated it was leah. Yeah okay anyways called the number right back when I hung up and it was disconnected. I called blue cross blue shield and reported it. Don’t ever give your information over the phone if someone calls you. They should respect you to let you call and update that info on your own. This was 100% a scam.

Received call from same number from a lady that could barely speak english. Wanted to verify personal info for medicare. Then wanted drs name date of birth. When we started to question why they needed it they hung up

When he asked for the name of my personal physician I became suspicious and refused to give it to him. Then he asked to verify my birthday. I hung up. It's an obvious scam. I'm assuming he wants to make fraudulent Medicare claims using my identity.

Very insistent when I said Medicare doesn't call. Claimed she just wanted to know if I got my new card. Had an old address for me. I hung up and blocked the number.
