POOR robocall from TANGERINE BUT it is a legitimate #. We have several cardholders in our family and the message does NOT even tell you WHO they are calling for for you have to figure it out. Really bad. BUT it is legitimate.

!!THIS NUMBER IS A LEGITIMATE TANGERINE BANK PHONE NUMBER!! This is the number they use when you're late on a credit card payment. They use a dialing service and don't leave a message. All they want is to ask when you can make a payment and roughly how much. One of the only services I've seen that's this efficient as they will call you max 3 days after your bill is due. They also don't report the late payment to credit (Equifax or Transunion) unless absolutely necessary. There are people trying to hijack the number for fraudulent purposes. But that can happen to any number on the planet. It's easy to change your call display name.

Asked for my private information immediately (Scam call) reported by


I did not accept the call but called the number back as it said Scotia Bank on call display. Gentleman answered and said "Tangerine Bank" but had a very strong South Asian accent and stated for security purposes he needed my name, address and date of birth. I told him I had no idea who he was and asked him to tell me what my last name was if in fact was a client of Tangerine and he hung up. Phishing for private info. AVOID

They claim to be calling from Tangerine, but Tangerine knew nothing about it and didn't recognize that number. I told them to stop calling and they did for a few weeks, but they started up again. They have been calling me three times a day since November 2019. I have blocked the number, but I am able to see that they are still calling every week day - they take weekends off.

This number has called my cell numerous times over the past few weeks. I've never answered the call. Yesterday, Susan (?) left a voicemail claiming to be Tangerine bank. Today, a second voicemail was left by an automated robot "...department of Service Canada purpose of this call is regarding enforcement action which has been executed by the Department of Justice against your social insurance number ignoring this would be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearances before the magistrate judge or exempt jury for a federal criminal offense so before this matter goes to a federal court house where you get arrested, kindly Press 1 to speak to an officer now" Totally a scam. Message deleted and number blocked.

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call center robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it?
