Got a text from a non profit called Make NC Count. The callback number is this one and it's the official 2020 Census #. The website listed is also legit. NOT a scam.

Caller spoofs Census2020 number. Realized after questioning them. (Political call) reported by JL
The call appears to come from Census2020 but is spoofed. After asking you about your census information, caller offers to transfer you to “another department” which seems to be the actual Census2020 office. This seems to lend legitimacy to the call but then talking more with the real census people it was apparent that the initial caller knew specific information about me and asked questions that the real census does not do. Even with the 12 character alpha numeric code that came with the census forms, a census worker calling for follow up will not have access to your personal and private information. Creepy.
