I screen all calls so it went to voicemail and after some clicking and fumbling a male voice left a message that he was my specific bank calling and that I needed to call back this number immediately. Called my bank directly, it’s not their number and there is nothing flagged or noted on my account regardless. Blocking the number.

Don't know where they got my number but they've been calling since the beginning of 2020, everyday. They tried at first around noon, now at dinner time. Based on the other comments, my guess is that these MOFO must have bought some of the stolen Desjardins data. Why do I say that? Because I'm a BMO customer and I know BMO does not call its clients to sell products. The only way these people got my phone number is thanks to the Desjardins security breach.

Calls repeatedly. Decided to pickup. Jen H. with BMO. Being suspicious I asked for her contact information (ID#, company, tel #, etc) and was promptly told she will call back later when i wasnt busy, which i wasn't.. isn't that strange.

I don't think so! They would call me twice a day to try and talk to me. I hungup on them so many times but today I picked up and talked to a lady named Jen Hanson from BMO Mastercard blah blah. Sure. I told her I don't want anymore new services she continued on pushing forward, until I told her I don't want to receive these calls any further and hungup. Let's see what they're going to do now.

Answered the call, there was a friendly voice with a "North American" accent on the other end identifying her first name, that she was with BMO, that she was offering the opportunity to join "Home Safe" for additional protection of identity and accounts and informing me the call was monitored for quality control. I told her that I was at work (TRUTH) and that she could call back. I have no interest in additional services like this as we are well protected through known and properly vetted services, so I have since blocked the number, with my suspicions confirmed by this site.

BMO Mastercard Home Safe (which does not exist) (Scam call) reported by


Caller offers a service called 'Home Safe' where they hold your personal information for you (such as your passport and birth certificate numbers) in case you lose them. Apparently you just call them and they tell you the numbers so they are easily recoverable. They offered $12.95 a month with the first month free and cancellable after the first month. They then asked me to spell my name. If I had a BMO Mastercard and these people were calling me then they should already have my name - they called me. So instantly I knew they were not who they said they were. The second I said they must already have my name if they are calling me - I was handed off to another more senior person. I hung up. Scammers.

Suspicious

Got a call from this number as well claiming they were from BMO Home Safe. They did have my name correct, but was offering insurance services for $12/month. ie. free towing, emergency repair, etc. Sounded legitimate but declined their services as I did not need and know how troublesome these additional insurance policies can get. After reading this comment though, they are getting the good ol' block.
