Someone named "Daniel Mirabal" called my mother's mobile and then mine within seconds. I returned the call to an 800 number left on my voicemail. Daniel refused to tell me what the call was regarding until I gave him my full name and either the last four digits of my SSN or my date of birth (though he somehow magically guessed my former surname without me sharing). I asked that my phone number be removed from whatever "list" that he was provided - again, he requested more sensitive information so he could "access my records." Felt like a scam, and I told him as much.
