Called at 9:35PM. Man with heavy accent said I have a computer virus. I have received many similar calls in the past from a number that keeps changing and I have repeatedly told the caller to stop bothering me. Calling after legitimate hours should not be allowed, but how can we stop this scam invasion?

Claiming I had a computer virus. I said I don't one. She hung up. (Scam call) reported by


Caller had a foreign accent. There were background sounds like a call center. It's a "you have a virus on your computer scam."I said this is a garage, there's no computer." She hung up. My elderly friend fell for a scam like this. They got him to do things to his computer which messed it up. Then they got him to give his credit card number and charged him $250! The credit card company did not help. He was stuck paying for a scam "pic service."

2 phone calls within a minute apart. I did not answer because not only do I live in MN, but I have been receiving these types of calls for months now...
