Got a call as well. Did some research, real law firm, real people. So stop freaking out and stop being close minded. They specialize super narrowly on auto defect and fraud cases so they refer out everything else. Did not get a case yet but did refer out and got a signed referral split agreement - client is very happy so far.

The telephone number is associated with the Margarian Law Firm. I was called from telephone number 818-334-4224. I called the main number (818) 553-1000, which I obtained from yelp. The receptionist indicated that Ellen, the lady that called me, did in fact work at the firm and that they do have a referral center.

I received a call from an admin at The Margarian Law Firm (https://margarianlaw.com/). They are a lemon law/automotive defect law firm who were looking to send me a referral. As far as I can tell, the firm is real.

Was left a voicemail from this number by "Greg" the message was so garbled that I couldn't make out what company he was calling from or why he was calling. After listening to the message 3 times it sounds like he says he is refering a case to me. I think this is a spam call

What has the world come to. A law firm calls you to refer you a case and you 1) presume it is spam, 2) do not have the guts to call them to find out, 3) do have the time to waste to come write this comment here. Let’s go back to law school 101. You are an attorney practicing law. Another firm calls you with an issue. Logical step would be to find out the reason for the call directly and see if there is a win win proposition. I got a call from them too. They referred me a case. It really makes me question the logical reasoning skills of people who posted negative reviews here rather than call them back. Not a single person who posted here had the decency to call them back and find out exactly why they had called. Sad. So sad.

I got a call from this number. They had an accent but turned out they were in fact calling from a real law firm. We exchanged emails. The next day they sent me info on a potential bankruptcy client. It ended up being a simple chapter 7 case which I took. Ps. The firm requested that I refer auto lemon law cases to them if I came across any. Not sure why people are so apprehensive about returning calls. After all we are lawyers and we never know where the next big case will come from. Just my two cents worth ;)

I understand what Greg posted, but it still strikes me as spam. I do a very particular type of business transaction for large corporations that does not in anyway involve courts or cases. There is no reason for anyone to call me (other than spam) to "refer a case" to me. I have absolutely no background, interest or expertise in bankruptcy or any other courtroom matter and if they had bothered to look into my details at all they would have seen that. I gather they are just taking a list of CA lawyers and spam calling all of them. To me, that makes their motivations suspect.
