this is a company trying to collect zombie debt using illegal collection practices. Everything they are doing is illegal. DO NOT answer or return any calls as it will start the time line of your collection deadline over.

Caller is Portfolio Recovery. This is the 16th number, from all around the country, they've called from. I've filed for bankruptcy; I believe they're aware of this yet they continue to call. I never pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize and they never leave a message (the same tactics as Midland Credit). Once my bankruptcy is finalized if they don't stop I intend to file charges for harassment. They call every day of the week, any time from 8:00 AM up until 9:00 PM. I don't care if they're legit, their tactics are terror tactics. If they'd ever left a message, at least in the past, I would've returned their call and explained that I'd hired a bankruptcy attorney. Now, I block every new number they call from and the only way I'll ever talk to them is through an attorney. I despise collection agencies. They're no different than organized crime loan sharks. I didn't ask them to buy my debt; to me that's the same thing as them lending money to me without me having asked for a loan and without my permission.

Phone call was for a mister Jackson once I explained to him that I wasn't mr. Jackson that I am a female and my last name is not Jackson he threatened to have the local sheriff's department come out and come pick me up because I was housing a federal offender. First of all I live by myself so I ain't housing anybody. I hung up on the dude
