Claim there was fradulate activity on my ssn# and wanted my ssn# (Nuisance call) reported by


First it was a robo call claiming there was fraudulent activity on my SSN# When I called back they claimed I had to provide my SSN for them to tell me what the fraud activity was. Once I declined to provide my ssn# over the phone they claimed I would get a call from my local police department. She told me to write down a number and when I said ok I'm ready to copy the phone hung up.

Has called me numerous times with a prerecorded message that they have to speak to me regarding an automatic debit for Microsoft services. Today I answered the call and heard the full schpiel. This has to be a scam based on the other reports.

Microsoft help long ago; now want to refund money. (Scam call) reported by


I returned the call. The message had said to call to avoid auto charge; the response to my call was that they wanted to refund my money. They had supposedly received notice that their service was not working correctly on my computer. I suggested they mail me a check. Oh, yes; they would email me a form to fill out so that they could do that. I said I didn't want it. Just a twist on the scam others have reported.
