Called 11 times within a 5 hour period leaving the same voice message each time. I called the number and she said she was the SSA and asked for my name. I said as soon as you tell me why you've called my house so many times & she hung up. SSA doesn't call you like that..... It's gotta be a scam.

SSA Scam Call (Scam call) reported by


1 Robo call with msg and no name left and 1 Robo call stated from Officer Greg Murphy at the SSA investigative division and suspicious activity on my SSN was prompting deactivation of my SSN unless I call back. I called back on my work phone instead of cell and they asked to verify my name and DOB. Person was of middle eastern accent and obviously in a call center as it was VERY noisy. I declined and told them to respond officially in writing and hung up despite SSN revocation threats.
