Bizarre Call (Unsolicited call) reported by James
Picked up the phone and - after an interval - a lady with a foreign accent answered. I could barely hear her, so I asked her to speak up. She tried again and still I could not hear her. Tried again - same result. So finally, since I could at least hear her a little, I asked her what she wanted. She hung up. So I called back. A machine answered saying that an agent wanted to speak with me and please hold. So then it played music - going on for so long that I finally hung up. Sick of these kinds of calls.

I'm afraid of calls I don't know of. I don't have Facebook anymore because I was hacked 3 times. Facebook was no help. You can't even get. phone number for Facebook. The ONLY info I had on my profile was my name and a picture. Nothing else. Because of Facebook hack, these people were calling all my contacts. And because of Facebook, these scammers were selling my info that were supposed to be working on a "Federal Grant Program". Some how these people stoled ALL my personal financial information. They would put payments on all my credit cards, spend all the money and then the checks would come back NSF, closed accounts or stolen checks. My credit score went from 800 too 500. I'm still dealing with this crap since 2017. I did not give out any personal business to anyone. Except when credit cards Companies called to see if I had made these payments. They were all from Sun Trust Bank. Beware. Had to talk to fraud departments on every card. These people are ruthless. Please check your statements, bank statements carefully. Do not get involved with anyone about federal grants, loans, IRS or Social Security. They will never call you on the phone. IRS and Social Security will send letters. Be careful of letters as well. Call and verify the main office to verify, This is URGENT!!! THEN REPORT TO ATTORNEY GENERAL IN AUSTIN!!!!! I made a report to the Sheriff!!!! They did what they could. Called FBI AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE SORRY ABOUT MY PROBLEM. BUT EVERY AVAILABLE AGENT WAS TRYINH TO GET TO CORES OF THESE SCAMMERS. THEY HAVE ARRESTED NUMEROUS PEOPLE. BUT STILL TRYING TO FIND MAIN SOURCES ALL OVER THE WORLD INCLUDING USA. BE AWARE!!!
