John from Windows Technical Support (Scam call) reported by


He asked if I have a computer. I said no and asked who he is trying to reach. He would not answer. I repeatedly asked who he was trying to reach. He then said "if you don't have a computer, then you should end this call" and hung up on me. I get this same sort of call on a monthly basis. The caller is alway John or Bill, but they speak with a distinct Arab accent. They all say they are from Windows Support and they have detected an error with my computer. The calls have come from all over the country. They are scam calls. An attempt to get into your computer.

This guy appears to be in Pakistan or India and spoofing the I.D. number. He wants to install a trojan horse to take over control of your computer. Claims to be from Microsoft Tech Support. As if they have any time to call people who have not called them. DANGEROUS!
