Tried to say my subscription to Microsoft was ended today and I would be charged 399.00 per day unless I cancelled my subscription and would then have no use of my computer. Have to say it scared the hell out of me! Talked to a live person and they did not even have my name, just my phone number, my cell no less! How is this happening?!

The message said I would be charged $399.99 in one day unless I hit the number the number one. I hit the number one and it said... Thank you for your order of $399.00. It then gave me an option to talk to an operator. When the operator came on, they asked me to go to my computer and open Team Viewer 14 so they can send me a document to sign to cancel the subscription. It was a room of people with middle east accents. HOW IS THIS NOT SHUT DOWN??? Why is California not sending in police to shut these call centers down? This is sick and disturbing!

Individual called my naïve, elderly grandfather saying,”_Its your oldest granddaughter.” And he said her name, and they went on to pretend to be her, asking for bail money, that she had been arrested. He wasn’t in tears afterward thinking it was really our estranged relative, and difficult to explain to him that it was not her, but a scam. Mother called the number back and an Indian dialect Man wanted her to purchase gift cards from Walmart mart for computer service. He somehow called her back, even though her number was private. Beware!

They called saying that they were calling from social security. When I questioned them on their location, he said they were calling from Texas. It was clear from the background noise and the persons accent that I was not receiving the call from this country. They called and I'm a few years from retirement, perhaps we are their target? For your safety block the number and don't answer!
