They ask questions until they get you to say the word "YES" and then they hang up immediately. I have heard that there are some scammers out there that try to obtain a recording of you saying "Yes" in order to scam you. He said he was from an auto service department and asked "Can you hear me ok? When I said yup, he hung up. Who knows?

Posed as a robocall but this is a nationwide scam, one being blocked by most major phone carriers. This is sophisticated and will capture your number and relay it to hundreds if not thousands of other scammers. DON'T answer, respond, or text back...this operation is likely being run by an overseas operation and is technically savvy so don't try to beat it. Just decline the call immediately and block it.
