The number they called from is an Oregon number which is where I used to live. Automated. I pressed 1 and the woman would not tell me what it was about other than a complaint filed and they would report my non compliance. She asked for my ss# and when I refused she said she already had my information. I asked her why she asked me for it and she wouldn't answer. I told her not to call me again. We will see if that happens. I told her as well I knew this was a scam.

I too received a call from both 180096926xx and 84478689xx. Both were part automated and part recorded. I thought maybe it was related to a school loan but now I am blocking the number

Would not say what business they were calling from. I told my boyfriend / Sergeant for local police dept. DO not answer these calls. The law is in the process for making these illegal and will soon provide numbers to report then. Hang in until then, but DO NOT ANSWER
