Asking for my date of birth and last 4 of SSN (Scam call) reported by


I applied for a Fraud Analyst on Indeed.com, with Wells Fargo Bank, per the add. Two hours later I got a call from this number and the man said he was calling because I applied for a Fraud Analyst with Wells Fargo on Indeed, and asked for my full name, address, date of birth and last four of my SSN. I told him that his call sounds like a scam, and as an aspiring professional in Fraud Analysis I would not provide him any of that information. At that point his voice started to quiver while expressing understanding and advising me to go to a Wells Fargo Branch to confirm the validity of his call. He also said he had sent me an email regarding my job application, but I didn't receive any email. I called back this number and a woman answered, saying it's Wells Fargo Credit Services. It looks like a Wells Fargo employee placed that job add on Indeed to get loan leads and apply for loans with the people's info he gets over the phone when he calls them about the job they applied for.

They called me on a Sunday morning and so I missed it. I called the number left in my voicemail a few hours later and the machine says representatives are available Monday-Saturday only. @Xx&
