She wanted me to verify my identity & said my name & “is that you?” I affirmed it is but I did not say the word “yes” so she asked more questions. Social security number? Birthday? I refused without knowing who I was talking to. I said to take me off whatever list I’m on as they called 4 times in 15 minutes before I answered. Harassment. She then said “well you’re making payments you don’t need to make but whatever- okay” I hung up.

So I called department of education to make sure emergency planning was part of their collector (third party) they said yes and gave me the number and it was them so ? Yeah. When they called me it was under spam. Idk. It’s weird but I verified it before giving information.

.A lady wanted to confirm my name and social security number... But wanted me to tell her. After giving my name she fumbled around trying to " find my account number" to no avail.She then asked for my social again Told her I didnt know her or what business she thought she had with me but I wasnt giving that info out over the phone to someone I dont know . She then wished me a good night and hung up. Very strange call.

A guy, who identified himself as Sean Berry (not sure if that's the correct spelling) from Emergency Planning Inc, called and asked if I was someone (used my maiden name). I said yes, and they wanted me to confirm other information related to my identity. When I asked exactly why they were calling, he advised it was against the law for him to disclose that information without confirming my identity. I advised him so I'm supposed to trust that some random guy calling from an 800, from a company I've never heard of, number is legit and not trying to steal my identity. Yeah, no. If you can tell me why you're calling I can confirm my information. He refused again and said he can see that he's not going to make sense to me and hung up. lol. First of all who calls someone like that?! If you are from a legit business, then what are you afraid of?

I didn't answer but retrieved a voice mail message from this no. Seems to be a call center. The person who called me I could only hear typing and breathing (ew), but I could hear other calls in the background.
