I'm not the one who pays for my phone and things with AT&T, and they know this. Why would they contact the person who doesn't pay for the phone trying to get in contact with who does? And everyone saying different things like AT&T or DirectTv should be a clue that its not who they say they are.

Have received 8 or 9 calls in the past three days from this number, immediately followed by a voicemail from UNKNOWN. The voicemail says it's calling about an important issue with my ATT account. I auto pay and yesterday received my usual confirmation from ATT that my bill was just paid. If it REALLY was ATT calling, they would not leave messages from UNKNOWN. And if it were a debt collection service on the behalf of ATT, they would not be calling me since my bill is auto paid every month, and they have called at least twice since auto pay went through yesterday. MADDENING!

Same thing with me. Told me my bill was past due but I just paid it. Went online to my account and balance was zero. The "scammers" tried to get me to pay sending a text message but there was two extra letters(sm) in the link. I finally just blocked the call after I figured it must be scammers
