一接電話就講廣東口音普通話,很多英文不太通,在美國會有Ｗａｌｌｍａｒｔ的客服一接通電話就開口中文很奇怪，而且我一年去不了四次，也從不在Ｗａｌｌｍａｒｔ網站買東西，會聯絡我一定有問題。

Chinese Scammers **** caller number (Scam call) reported by Kony Tseng
Although this is indeed Walmart customer number, but there are Chinese scammers **** their caller number and pretend to be Walmart China department. Once picked up, they immediately start speaking Chinese, obviously they are targeting Chinese speaking Americans, and since I know the language I ended up engage in conversation with them. They claimed that someone has stole my identification and applied for a Walmart credit card in China. Then made purchase without payments. During the conversation they will insist strongly that you remain on the line with them and will try to stop you from looking up more information into the matter on the side. I hung up on them and immediately check my credit score on TransUnion (it's free) to lookup all the credit card accounts under my name and SSN, didn't see any suspicious new accounts. They called again so I picked it up(at this time I feel much safer but still curious to find out). They know my home address and phone number, after a very long back and forth to wear you down, they will say you are not responsible for the charge but will need you to call and file police report in China by calling them. They will offer to make the call for you but need you to speak to the Chinese police yourself. After they "transferred" your call to the Chinese police, it's another long back and forth to wear you down more. Eventually they will want to have a formal record of the case, they offer to record it over the phone, but I will need a place that's quiet and won't be disturbed for the next hour or the record will be useless. (Again, to isolate you) They even ask me to look up their police station website in China on Baidu(China's Google) and confirm that their caller number matches with what's on the site. But in the small fine print of Baidu's search result actually stated that there were no official government websites in the search result. And that's when I am 100% sure it's a scam and blocked them completely.

Hello: Kony, It happens to me yesterday. It wastes my time from 1:30 to 7: o clock. They try to isolate you for no reason. My case was worst. I have a total of 5 persons, one by one escalate to the captain. They told me that I have someone who opened an account in Hong Kong under my id and do illegal activities with 3 million in the account and under investigation. I told them to go ahead to take all the money. I think Walmart or should do some investigation regarding this kind of scam.

Same here on 12/02/2022. Targeting Mandarin speaking people and started with customer experience surve, then changed the topic to suspicious activities with my Walmart account and tried to make me believe my account was hacked and someone stole my personal information and applied credit card in China. Treatened me by saying I would be in lawsuit if card debt in China Walmart not paid. I checked all my credit record and card balances and no issues at all. This is totally a scam. Don't get fooled.

Something here just happened this morning! I spoke him in Chinese playing around a little bit because they keep calling me Walmart never calls me straight for anything. He be talking about stuff I bought which I don't and even if that's the case I should be in my card history and contact the bank not his business. But yeah too much scams now a days even the number looks legit it could still be fake，have to becareful

Tried speaking Chinese to me, asked for me by name. No idea why they would be calling. Spoke English at first but when I said I didn't speak Chinese they hung up. Called twice 4-5 hours apart.
