They also call from 844-936-60xx, at very random times of day, even on the weekends. In our case it is a valid call due to a hospital debt that I have refused to pay until they process it correctly with my insurance.

I have a payment plan set up with this hospital but they call me at least once a week trying to get me to pay off the rest of the debt. If I had all the money I would pay them, but instead they just keep harassing me and still taking my money every month. I told the lady not to call me unless there is a problem with my payment, she got snippy and said she would "notate that on the account". I just want to pay my bill and for them to leave me alone. I shouldn't owe over $3000 to a hospital when I have state funded health insurance anyway, the hospital is just money hungry.

Received robo call asked for wife not at home. Called number. They said they called about debt. Would not explain what debt. Gave them lawyers number.I asked why would not give me info on debt. They said HIPPA. Umm, that is healthy privacy act? Since O pay her med bills...?? What has HIPPA to do with this. We have already taken care of all legit med Bill's. They got my birth date which is a public record anyway. However, they had my name allready.They asked for Lawyer's fax number. Told them to ask the Lawyer for it. Due our state laws wife's debts are my debts. This smells like a week old tuna sandwich.

Unless your wife gives them written permission, because of HIPPA law, they cannot discuss her medical bills or information with you whether you pay her bills or not.
