The man on the phone tried to tell me that he was from the IRS working with the SSA and CIA/FBI because my Social Security number was linked to a rented car found at a home with 2 pounds of cocaine in it and that I had stolen money from a lot of over seas accounts. I was accused of drug trafficking and money laundering. When I asked him what I could do about it he told me that I had to take down some numbers and that they would suspend my SS#. When he stated that I would be going to jail for all of my crimes, I told him the only person that could end up in jail is him for all of his scam calls. He called me a **** and daughter of a cockroach. That was the end of the conversation.

I missed called and was left a threat to call back immediately (Telemarketer) reported by


I miss this call and so they left me a voicemail.. I don't know if it's a lady or a machine voice mail but it said; "if you received this message you need to call to avoid legal consequences to collect call, call immediately press 1.. I tried to call back the number because I freaked out due to the seriousness of the voicemail and it says that number is not in service...... what do I do? is it fake or not?

A word to the wise. Anything that has to do with legal actions, SSA FBI CIA IRS, they are never going to call you on the phone. You will either be served in person, sent a correspondence in the mail, or swatted (depending on the nature of the issue). When you get calls like these, they are always people trying to scam you and get information from you. IF you do answer be cautious with providing your information, its best to make them tell you. A real company would know who they are calling, they wouldn't ask. Additionally, try to avoid saying yes. That way if they are recording, they cant use your voice to later approve false credit cards or accounts. I hope these tips help.
