John William told me I have been awarded $9,000 in grant money from the government because of disasters last year and told me that he would give me a confirmation number and a phone number to dial into. Upon calling the number the man could not tell me what the company was that he works for and asked me if I knew why I had called... scam!

THEY'VE CALLED 6 TIMES TODAY. THEY'VE TRIED A COUPLE MONTHS BACK. EACH TIME I BLOCK THE NUMBER AND THEY CALL FROM ANOTHER. VERY ANNOYING.

Man with very heavy accent, unable to pronounce the letter "R" in his words such as name he asked for and nasty comments using word porn star. Obviously little education, poor behaviour, poor vocabulary and use of English language at any level. He told me he was with federal government...note the word "federal" is THE ONLY TIME he pronounced his "R". He became violent, threatening, nasty when I told him that our federal government does NOT call citizens, and even IF he was from Federal government he would be able to speak English. He immediately tried to pretend by that, I meant my name, and tried to "harvest" my name and voice. He clearly wanted me to pronounce my name to use MY VOICE In HIS scam. The more he tried and I did not give any info, the more threatening he became stating he had stollen ALL my ID and was going to hurt me, damage me, etc. He also told me that he had a camera in my TV and was watching me every minute. He tried to intimidate me that he was going to put my "pooonsta" on the Internet. I laughed and he got even more angry then all listening to his call on the speaker phone realized he meant "porn star". He tried to then pronounce it after we said it, and still called it "poonsta". He again spewed out a lot of threatening ID and porn star threats, then said, "your poor anyway" and hung up on my recorded call. He repeatedly refused his name or real company name. Please notify the public and stop these people.

Here's a fun tip. Act nice, then tell them to stay on the line for 30 more seconds so you can track their location... they hang up real fast.

Person with a strong accent said that I was selected to receive a $5000 grant from the government. Asked me to write down a grant ID number and a phone number (202) 846-9018. Then another guy took over (also with an accent) and said they could deposit the money in my bank account. No, they could not send me a check. It was clear to me that at one point they would ask for sensitive information. They should use people who are a little more convincing.

Scam call trying to obtain my account number to deposit the so called grant money $9000. Very persistent and this person's accent is awful and when asked to repeat they get angry.

3 calls, 1 kinda voicemail

So these guys have called me 4 times in 2 days. When I didn't answer, they left a Voicemail that was a few seconds of people talking in the background. When I do answer - they hang up.

Thick accent in call centre pushing to give me grant money from government. If its there?, No one needs a foreign 3rd party to take my money and submit something to the government. this is a scam. these people are rude and will aggressively push you (did me). They get angry and will curse at you. I listened to there pitch and while I had him on the phone I looked them up on line. They do get nasty after there pitch asking me if now (Based on what he told me) If there is any reason I do not "trust" what he said? I told him I don't trust anything anyone just says on the phone or internet. I also told him I'm sure he has my address & to just send my "$9,000.00 the government owes me for grant money that could be paid to me today in cash; They want bank information & money to get it. SCAM! RIP OFF! KEEP POSTING IF YOU GET THESE CALL'S. But Im sure they will just change the #'s I sure hope Trump has a cure for false phone or better yet any phone sales call's. What a world we live in.....This country is going straight in the toilet fast. God our country needs HELP.
