Scam: Social Security number compromised. (Robocall) reported by


I answered because it was a 1-800 toll free call. It was a pre-record message alerting me that my Social Security card was compromised. Knowing of similiar types of scams, I hung up without listening to the remainder of the message. Afterwards, I blocked and deleted the number.

The caller requested money for the reduced service and then they would give me a prepaid visa card to use anywhere I want. The catch was it had to be done 'right now'
